Mix once and your material is ready!

In dry blending, plastic granules and desired additives such as color pigments, stabilizers, or fillers are mechanically blended in mixers. The mixture remains free-flowing and can be directly processed further, for example, by extrusion or injection molding.

Advantages of dry blending:

Cost savings: No additional compounding step → lower process costs.

Flexibility: Color adjustments or additive additions can be made quickly and on a customer-specific basis.

Short development times: New formulations can be tested immediately without the need for a compounder.

Reduced inventory: statt viele verschiedene eingefärbte Compounds zu lagern, reicht es, Basismaterial + Masterbatch vorzuhalten.

Smooth processing: Since no additional extrusion takes place, the material is subjected to less thermal/mechanical stress (important for sensitive TPU types)

Can be combined flexibly: different TPE types or blends can be easily mixed and processed together.

Dry blending is suitable for the fast, cost-effective and flexible addition of additives to plastic granules such as TPU, TPS, TPV and TPC wherever the precision and homogeneity of compounding methods are not absolutely necessary.
