Our History
From the beginning to the present
We started our production in rented premises. In 2001, we then moved to Preussisch Oldendorf-Getmold, now with 10 employees, where we were able to produce many times the original quantities in large production halls and warehouses on our own company premises. We then invested in a spacious new administration wing. Two years later, the construction of another warehouse began.
In 2006 the company grew again by expanding the technical test laboratory. In addition, PolyTherm was certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001: 2008, thus taking another valuable step in the area of quality management.
By 2010, our company had 23 employees and the monthly production volume had doubled. In the following year, another warehouse was built and the administration wing was increased.
As an additional expansion, the third warehouse with an area of another 1000 m² was added in 2014. We currently have a storage capacity of 3000 m².
Thanks to the great satisfaction of our customers, more than 30 employees belonged to the PolyTherm team in 2016 and a further increase in production volumes can be seen.
We set another milestone in 2019 with the purchase of a new twin-screw extruder, so that the company now has a total of 5 extruders. These have a total capacity of approx. 4,000 tons/year.
On September 1st, 2020, PolyTherm celebrated its 25th anniversary.
With the takeover of the company by the newly founded PolyTherm Beteiligungs GmbH on January 1st, 2021, the foundation was laid for the further expansion of the company. This reorientation was supplemented by the appointment of Reinhard Nickel as the new managing director.
